Knitting

I started knitting a few years ago after joining Practical Publishing as a sub-editor. I was lucky enough to have the editor of Knit Now magazine sat just behind me, so I very quickly tapped into her extensive wealth of knowledge and got to grips with my needles and yarn. I’m often one to try and run before I can walk, however, and decided that the first thing I’d try to knit would be a pair of socks for my nephew. No word of a lie, it took me three months to do just one tiny sock. I got there in the end, however, and Freddie got a pair of funky green socks (eventually).

That started the knitting obsession and now I’ve always got something on the go. I’ve not yet knitted a jumper before, preferring smaller projects, but this year (2015) I’ve decided I’m going to make Tiny Owl Knits’ fawn poncho from the Woodland Knits book (I’ve already made the reindeer hat – take a look below). Watch this space – hopefully it’ll be in my portfolio before the end of the year.
