Lamps For Charity

I like to give back where I can, so made this lamp as a raffle prize for Thea’s Trust, which raises funds and awareness for people with genetic disorder MPS I Hurler Syndrome. My lamp helped the charity raise an amazing £2,675 which is great news! If you’re holding a similar event and are looking for raffle prizes, do get in touch.

This bottle was one of my favourites so I was very happy to offer it up as a prize. The flowery fabric on the inside shines through the pale grey fabric on the outside so beautifully when the light is turned on. This is one of my favourite effects when making lampshades and is something I do quite a lot – it’s always a great surprise when you turn the light on because you’re never quite sure what it will look like until it’s plugged in.
